Playing Gordon Head...
The lads needed a kick after they dropped a goal to GH so Coach Pasta rallied the troops with some words then some fun and they responded partly on Aaron's strong playmaking abilities.

Game One!
2007/8 u12B Gold SEASON
Coach Mario filed the following game report at Braefoot Soccer Central:
A very physical match played on the fast Hampton Turf with no Super8 Goalie markings. While the boys did not have all 8 cylinders working together they did get the victory...
We think that means another mechanics course is scheduled for the next team practice!

8 cylinders on the field!!
... guess that's why they call it 'Super8' ;)

(above) Mario said 'straight backs lads'

four more good substitute cylinders on the bench waiting to be inserted into the game!
when the u12Bs are running the concession [as a fundraiser] Peter better be buying his coffee from the LakeHill concession stand!

Mario+Peters 'lads' played their third pre-season exhibition this time 'at home' against one of the two BaysU Gold teams. BaysU had a talented #7 but the LakeHill boys proved to have learned from the weekend exhibitions and combined well to add more scoring in this one game than in their previous two games combined! Great efforts lads!
PS: Don't forget Peters homework assignment is due tomorrow we will posting the better reports on-line so check your spelling!

Pre-season 'tests'
Good game #9!
Goals did happen in this match even if the offside rule was bent a bit. Reminder to everyone that in LISA league action the offside rule is only in the final third of the field but you can't always expect a ref to make "the call" so don't give them the opportunity.. know your field position and that of your opponents!
PLSC had some good 'set pieces' today they just came short of the top shelf on two occassions but the LakeHill Keeper kept the cabinet shut on these PLSC opportunities!
Lakehill had a 'deep' bench as the coaches used the weekend games for some final assessments.
'letting your opponent know you are there'
#7 and #17 where the PLSC players of the match !
You sure couldn't call it a friendly, the lads played with somefire in their bellies...maybe an "exhibition" is the better term!
hmm, #7 has dry hair..

hmm, #7 has dry hair..For coaches Peter and Mario the two weekend matches vs two of the better squads in u12B Gold where intended as another in a series of tests to determine how the lads need to be coached. Coaching for fitness, for skills and game day strategy.
PLSC has some new unis this season! The Sunday match met with more of Coach Mario's approval when compared to the Saturday match. Peninsula is probably 'the' squad this season! Mario and Peters job is to make 'the lakehill lads' *THE* u12B Gold squad by the time the season concludes! reminder that practices are not optional and if you are going to be late or unable to attend it is your job as a player (not your parents'!) to ensure Mario and Peter are aware of your inability to attend!

(hmm, Matteo has a very clean jersey.. 'tide' or 'sunlight' ;)Thursday, September 13, 2007
